All jokes aside, the day in the life of a plumber is one that not many people want to fall into simply because of the stigma that surrounds the job. Most people think of a plumber as being someone who just works with smelly toilets, but that’s not true. Plumbers work with a lot of dangerous toxins and gases to ensure you and your family stay safe.

    What does a plumber do?

Toilet repair, installation, and maintenance – Sometimes you just need a little extra help to fix your toilet or unclogging a toilet clog. That’s when a plumber comes in and can help you. Regardless if it’s a toilet clog, repair, install, or maintenance check, a plumber handles this.

Water heater repair, installation, and maintenance – One item a plumber does that you may not have realized is they help with your water heater issues. Whether you need a new one, have smelly water, are not getting any hot water, or have a gas line leak going to your machine, a plumber is who you need to call!

Drain or pipe blockage – Is your shower no longer draining no matter how much Drano you pour down it? A plumber will have the tools and equipment to get the toughest clogs out. They also work with pipes that go in and out of your house so if you notice you no longer have adequate water pressure, they’ll find the culprit and fix it.

Gas line repair – Gas lines go in and out of your home. If there is a kink, leak, or hole in one, they can be extremely dangerous to your well-being. A plumber will come to your home and help you repair the gas line where it’s needed. Do not try to do this on your own.
