1. Cut down on LDL foods

Foods that contain high levels of LDL are not good for your health. This is because LDL will reside in your bloodstream and accumulate there. This condition will turn worse when this cholesterol starts to block and occlude the blood vessel, leading to diseases such as the ones mentioned above. So, if you are the type of person that likes to eat foods such as fast food, processed food, oily food and sugary food, then it is a good idea to cut down on these food intakes. You can always try to replace this food intake with a healthier choice, such as fruits and vegetables that can provide you with much needed nutrients.

2. Focus more on HDL foods

As mentioned above, HDL foods are the type of foods that we want to consume. This is because they can provide our body with some important nutrients. Foods that contain high levels of HDL are sunflower oil, avocado, olive oil, omega-3 products, oily fish such as tuna fish and sardines. These are the types of food with cholesterol that you need to focus on. However, do not eat them too much as an excessive amount of HDL will also be bad for the body. You can try to eat them moderately in each of your meals. If you want an assurance, you can refer to the food pyramid and start planning your diet. If you notice, cholesterols need to be taken in small amounts for each meal, so you might want to take note of that matter.

3. Exercise your body

Eating healthy is not enough if you want to take care of your cholesterol level. If you want to have a healthy lifestyle, then you need to do some regular exercises. There are a lot of types of exercise that you can choose from. From walking, jogging and running to other types of sports such as swimming, cycling and so on, it is your choice.
